How to get to Tacuarembo

To get to Tacuarembó in Uruguay there are different transportation options, depending on the starting location.

From Montevideo, the capital of the country, it can be reached by road using National Route 5 or using public transport, in long-distance buses that connect both cities.

It can also be reached by plane, using the Tacuarembó airport, located 4 kilometers from the city center, although the flight offer is limited and depends on the season.

Another option is to use the railway, through the passenger service that connects Tacuarembó with the city of Rivera, on the border with Brazil. This service is also limited and has specific hours.
