Paso de los Toros is a city located in the department of Tacuarembó, Uruguay.
It is known for being located at the mouth of the Negro River and for being the hometown of the writer Mario Benedetti.
In the area you can find tourist attractions such as the Vizcaíno beach, the Railway Bridge over the Negro River and the Cerro de los Burros, which offers panoramic views of the city.
