Minas de Corrales is a small town located in the department of Rivera, in the northern region of Uruguay.
It is located about 80 kilometers from the city of Rivera and about 450 kilometers from Montevideo, the capital of the country.
It is located in the Cuchilla de Haedo area, in the foothills of the hills that make it up.
It limits to the north with the department of Tacuarembó, to the south with the department of Artigas, to the east with the town of Tranqueras and to the west with the town of Masoller.
The region is rich in natural landscapes, where the mountains and streams stand out, as well as the native fauna and flora of the area. It is also an important center of livestock and agricultural production, with an economy based on the exploitation of its natural resources.
