Melo is located in the northeastern part of Uruguay, about 390 km from Montevideo.
To get there from the capital, you can take National Route 8 to Treinta y Tres and then continue on National Route 7 to the north.
Melo can also be accessed from other departments of the country using the road network.
Another option is to arrive by plane at Rivera International Airport, which is about 70 km from Melo, and from there take a ground transportation service or rent a car to get to the city.
There are also bus services that connect Melo with other important cities in the country, such as Montevideo, Tacuarembó and Rocha.
