Las Piedras is a city located in the department of Canelones, Uruguay, about 28 kilometers south of the capital, Montevideo.
It is the second largest city in the department after the departmental capital, Canelones.
The city has several tourist attractions, among which the Grape and Wine Museum stands out, which exhibits the history and wine culture of the area, and the church of Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, built in the 19th century.
Another tourist attraction is Parque Artigas, a large green space that has picnic areas, walking trails, and an open-air amphitheater where cultural events and shows take place.
To get to Las Piedras from Montevideo, you can take National Route 5 and follow the signs to the city. There are also public transport services such as buses and taxis.
The city is in a strategic location to explore other areas of interest in the department of Canelones, such as the beaches of the Costa de Oro, the departmental capital of Canelones, and the city of Pando.
