Durazno is a department and city located in central Uruguay, bordered to the north by the department of Tacuarembó, to the east by the department of Cerro Largo, to the south by the department of Florida, and to the west by the department of Flores.
It is located about 180 km from the capital, Montevideo, and about 120 km from the city of Salto. Its geographical position is strategic, since it is located in a crossroads area that connects the coast with the interior of the country.
The city of Durazno is located on the banks of the Yí River, and has an important river port for the area. In addition, in its surroundings you can find numerous mountains and streams that offer a varied and attractive natural landscape for visitors.
