How to get to Artigas

The city of Artigas is located in the extreme north of Uruguay, near the border with Brazil. It can be reached by car from Montevideo taking Route 5 to Tacuarembó, then Route 26 to the north, until you reach Artigas.
There are also bus services from Montevideo and other cities in the country.

If you come from Brazil, you can reach Artigas through the Brazilian city of Santana do Livramento, and crossing the Concordia International Bridge.

In the city of Artigas, you can reach the different points of interest on foot or by taxi. There are also bus services that connect the city with nearby towns and the capital of the department, Bella Unión.
