Young is a city located in the department of Río Negro, in Uruguay.
It is located about 300 kilometers northwest of Montevideo, and its population is around 20,000 inhabitants.
Among its main tourist attractions are the Plaza Constitución, the Hispanidad Park, the Artigas Park, the Mirador de la Cruz, and the Rambla Costanera.
In addition, in the outskirts of the city you can visit the Dr. Rodolfo Talice Fauna Reserve, the Almirón hot springs, the Piria Castle and the area of wineries and vineyards.
To get to Young, you can take a bus from Montevideo or from other nearby cities such as Paysandú or Salto. It can also be reached by car through National Route 3. The city has a bus terminal and an aerodrome for private flights.
