Location of San José de Mayo

San José de Mayo is the capital of the department of San José, located in the southern region of Uruguay.

It is located about 100 kilometers east of Montevideo, the country's capital, and about 50 kilometers west of the city of Punta del Este.

The city is crossed by the San José River and is surrounded by hills and mountains. San José de Mayo is an important commercial city and has a wide variety of services and tourist attractions.
