Location of Salto

Salto is a city located in the north of Uruguay, in the homonymous department, on the banks of the Uruguay River that separates it from the Argentine city of Concordia.

It is located about 470 km from Montevideo, the capital of the country.

Salto is the second most populated city in the department and one of the most important in the interior of the country, with an important river port.
