How to get to Rocha

The city of Rocha is located on the east coast of Uruguay and there are several options for getting there, depending on your starting point and your travel preferences.

If you are coming from Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, the easiest and most convenient way to get there is by car, since Route 9 runs along the east coast of the country and passes directly through the city of Rocha.
The trip from Montevideo takes about three and a half hours, and there are several gas stations and places to rest along the way.

Another option is to take a bus from the Tres Cruces terminal in Montevideo, with regular services that leave for Rocha throughout the day. The bus ride takes about four hours, and is a convenient option if you don't want to drive or don't have access to a car.

There is also a small airport in the city of Rocha, with regular flights from Montevideo and other cities in Uruguay, as well as charter flights from other Latin American countries. The airport is located a few kilometers from the city center, and taxi and car rental services are available at the airport.
