How to get to Punta del Diablo

To get to Punta del Diablo in Uruguay, it can be done by road either by private car or by public transport.

By private car, from Montevideo, take Ruta Interbalnearia east to the city of Castillos and then take Route 16 east to Punta del Diablo. It can also be reached from the city of Chuy, which is the border city with Brazil, taking Route 9 to the south and then Route 16 to the west.

By public transportation, you can take a bus from Terminal Tres Cruces in Montevideo to Rocha, from where you can take another bus to Punta del Diablo. There are also buses that connect the city of Chuy with Punta del Diablo.

Another option is to take a flight to Punta del Este International Airport, which is about 90 km away, and then take a taxi or bus to Punta del Diablo.
