Ombúes de Lavalle is a city located in the department of Colonia, in the southwestern region of Uruguay.
It is located about 150 km west of Montevideo and 40 km northeast of Colonia del Sacramento, on the left bank of the Rosario stream, a tributary of the Río de la Plata.
The city has several tourist attractions, such as the church of San Isidro Labrador, the Plaza General Artigas and the Regional Museum of Ombúes de Lavalle, which houses a collection of historical and cultural objects related to the region.
In addition, the city is known for its production of rice and citrus, and for its beautiful natural landscapes.
