Location of Mercedes

Mercedes is a Uruguayan city located in the department of Soriano, in the southwest of the country.

It is located on the banks of the Negro River, which makes it an important river port and a popular tourist destination.

The city is located about 270 km west of Montevideo and about 90 km north of Colonia del Sacramento.

Mercedes is located at the intersection of national routes 2 and 21, which makes it easily accessible from other parts of the country.
