How to get to La Barra

La Barra is located in the department of Maldonado, Uruguay, about 15 km east of the city of Punta del Este. The most common way to get there is by road, taking the Interbalnearia Route (Ruta 10) from Montevideo or from the city of Punta del Este. It is also possible to arrive by bus, since La Barra is a popular tourist destination and has several bus lines that connect the city with other nearby cities.

Another option is to arrive by plane at Punta del Este International Airport, located about 20 km west of La Barra. From there, you can rent a car or take a taxi to reach your destination.

Once in La Barra, the town is small and easy to navigate on foot. There are several public transport options to move to other nearby beaches or to the center of Punta del Este.
