José Ignacio is a small peninsula located on the Atlantic coast of Uruguay, about 35 kilometers east of Punta del Este.
It limits to the north with the Atlantic Ocean, to the east with Laguna Garzón, to the south with the Manantiales spa and to the west with the ocean and the José Ignacio Lagoon.
The peninsula is surrounded by beaches and dunes, and has a small fishing village that has become a luxury tourist destination in recent years.
The area is known for its calm and relaxed atmosphere, its beautiful natural landscapes and its gourmet cuisine.
