Fray Bentos is a city located in the department of Río Negro, in Uruguay, on the banks of the Uruguay River.
It is known for its important industrial heritage, especially for its old Liebig's meat factory, which now houses the Museum of the Industrial Revolution and the MEC Cultural Center.
Another tourist attraction in the city is the General Artigas International Bridge, which connects Uruguay with Argentina.
