Dolores is a city located in the department of Soriano, in western Uruguay.
It is located about 240 km from the capital, Montevideo, and is crossed by National Route 96. The city is located on a plain surrounded by hills and bathed by the San Salvador River, which is an important tributary of the Negro River.
