Cardona is a city in the department of Soriano in western Uruguay.
It is located on the southern bank of the Río Negro, about 170 km from Montevideo and about 90 km from the city of Mercedes.
The city is located near the intersection of Route 2 and Route 12, making it easily accessible from several nearby cities.
In addition, the city has a train station on the railway line that connects Montevideo with the cities in the north of the country.
