Overview of Cabo Polonio
Cabo Polonio is a national park and a resort located in the department of Rocha, Oriental Republic of Uruguay.
It is very close to the Valizas resort and has three small islands off its coast known as Islas de Torres (La Rasa, La Encantada and El Islote), all of them close to Cabo Polonio.
In them there is an important reserve of sea lions, which can be seen from the coast. It also has an important reference lighthouse for boaters.
It attracts both regional and international tourism.
It has a very particular landscape, surrounded by high-altitude sand dunes.
